Manufacturer coupon inserts are inside most Sunday newspapers. There are three main coupon insert types:
- Smart Source. Published every week.
- Red Plum. Published every week. In some areas, the Red Plum insert comes in the mail instead of the newspaper.
- Proctor and Gamble. Out once a month, usually the first Sunday of the month.
There are occasionally other newspaper coupon inserts, such as General Mills or Pepsi.
Each couponing insert will have a date printed on the spine (circled in yellow below) that corresponds to the Sunday it came out.
There are no newspaper coupons on holiday weekends.
